Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our engineering team in IBM Security QRadar EDR, who has experience working on backend services in Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript). As a Software Engineer, you will be expected to implement new functionalities, help debug production issues, and perform bug fixes. You will have good organizational and communication skills and collaborate with members from other teams within IBM Security QRadar EDR.

In QRadar EDR you will work in a small, dedicated, and growing team that values and supports each other. We have developed a sophisticated EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) solution that you will help us scale and make part of IBM's offering.

Responsibilities:

Work on the node.js backend service written in TypeScript that provides a public API for users
Work closely with colleagues in CEST timezone and ensure a 4-hour overlap during working days
Collaborate with other teams, plan and prioritize work proactively, and ensure compliance with IBM guidelines
Work in a supportive, multidisciplinary, and international environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

7+ years of IT experience
Experience writing REST APIs
Proficiency with the node.js ecosystem and JavaScript/TypeScript programming language
Code documentation tooling and best practices
Code testing tools and methodologies, for example TDD
