LG Electronics needs no introduction; from mobile phones to home appliances, LG has dominated the market for years. South Korean tech giants plan to hop on the trend and ...
LG Electronics is a leading brand, and they plan to continue this reputation by hiring skilled Web3 talents to initiate their brand-new endeavor.
In this blog, we will look into the talents LG is looking for and how they plan to use blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to compete in the market like they have been doing over the years.
LG Electronics needs skilled and experienced leaders to guide them into the growing Web3 business. Recently, the tech giants posted a few job vacancies indicating that the company is looking for CTOs in two departments: service design and business development.
According to regional South Korean reports, LG is working towards a business model around Web3 and recently added two crypto-related objectives during their annual general meeting. The aim is to develop and sell blockchain-based software and the sale and brokerage of cryptocurrency. Essentially, LG wants to establish a primary crypto exchange and take the first step into the Web3 business model.
The CTOs that LG plans to hire will be responsible for several objectives. First, the business development team is expected to work on securing partnerships in the global Web3 sector and develop new business models around blockchain and Web3. The service design team will be responsible for developing decentralized applications (dApps) and conducting regular research on Web3 and blockchain services.
Obviously, the prerequisite for this position is a strong understanding of blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens.
Investing in Web3 is not a new avenue for several businesses across the world. LG Electronics are stepping up the game to compete with its fellow business rival Samsung. Samsung is one step ahead of its competitors as it adopts blockchain and cryptocurrency-related technologies. Earlier this year, Samsung announced that it would be launching a store in the decentralized metaverse along with an NFT platform for its smart TVs.
In September, LG launched its first decentralized crypto wallet, “Wallypto.” It runs on the Hedera Hashgraph blockchain. LG Electronics will soon compete with Samsung and other tech giants through its new business areas in its corporate charter.
Organizations in different sectors are planning to build a business around Web3 and blockchain technology; it is safe to say that there will be several vacancies for skilled Web3 developers in the future.
